Optimised measurement of dynamic surface tension for reasearch, development and quality control
The versatile SITA science line t100 laboratory Tensiometer enables automated AUTO scans, continuous ONLINE measurements and simple SINGLE controls with the widest parameter range for dynamic Surface tension measurements from highly dynamic 15 milliseconds to quasi-static 100 seconds Bubble lifetime. It thus combines all the functions of SITA tensiometers and adds Methods for frequently recurring measurements and concentration characteristics.
SINGLE-Mode - Single measurement
- Fast and reliable for control tasks
- Measures a value at defined parameters
- Determination of concentration through individual characteristic curves
AUTO-Mode - Measurement within an adjustable Bubble lifetime range
- Convenient mode for R&D: measurement of dynamic surface tension depending on bubble lifetime (surface age)
- Automated scan of surfactant dynamics
- Investigation of the kinetics of surfactants
- Characterisation of wetting behaviour
ONLINE-Mode - Continuous measurement
- Continuous measurement at bubble lifetime
- Analysis of temperature influence
- Investigation of ageing behaviour
- Evaluation of sample stability
Optimised for the laboratory
- Large bubble life time range: highly dynamic 15 ms - quasi-static 100 s
- 64 Methods: programming of concentration curves and recurring measurement tasks

Industry | Industrial parts cleaning, electroplating, paints & lacquers, inkjet inks and many more |
SITA laboratory tensiometers have been in use for over 25 years for these measurement tasks and applications, among others:
- Analysis of surfactant kinetics in research & development
- Automation of measurement and analysis tasks
- Control of surface tension and surfactant concentration in industrial parts cleaning
- Monitoring of the wetting agent concentration in galvanic coating and etching processes
- Quality inspection of ink-jet inks as well as paints and varnishes
- Measuring surface tension on the line or in the laboratory
- Product development for cleaning, electroplating, inks, paints, etc.
- Analysis of the temperature behaviour of process chemicals
SITA application consulting develops measurement methods and control procedures for individual use in close consultation. This includes free trial measurements, characteristic curves, rental positions and consultations remotely or on site.
Like all SITA Tensiometers, the SITA pro line t15 is based on the bubble pressure method for measuring the dynamic surface tension of liquids.
Therefore, as it can be seen in the picture, an air stream is lead through a Capillary into the process liquid and the pressure development for the bubble generation is measured.
