Milestones on the path to SITA Messtechnik GmbH becoming the leading provider of measuring and testing technology for surfactant and cleanliness control
- 2023
New versions of the tensiometers SITA pro line t15+ and SITA DynoTester+ with additional features: optimised user interface, extended storage concept and enlarged parameter scope including bubble life times up to 30 ms.
- 2022
Prof. Dr. Lothar Schulze hands over the company to his daughters Juliane and Kathrin Schulze. The management and innovative development of the company, which was shaped by company founder for over 20 years, is being continued in the second generation by CEO and shareholder Juliane Schulze and the team of SITA Messtechnik GmbH.
- 2020
Market launch of the new SITA FoamTester for fully automatic foam analysis with an innovative optical measurement system: Recording foam volume and foam structure for monitoring and optimising surfactant-containing liquids.
- 2019
Market launch of the hand-held device SITA SurfaSpector for testing the wettability of surfaces and parts, e.g. before coating after cleaning.
Comprehensive product update of the SITA CleanoSpector with hardware changes for faster measurement and improved usability, along with useful accessories for many applications.
- 2015
Development of the SITA FluoScan 3D as a plant unit for automatic scanning part surfaces in three dimensions.
- 2014
Development of the new generation SITA science line t100 as a high-performance laboratory tensiometer for research, development and quality assurance.
For monitoring and controlling industrial cleaning and coating processes as well as processes in the semiconductor and photovoltaic industry, SITA developed new inline process measurement technology for user-specific solutions:
SITA clean line ST – Continuous measurement of the surface tension of process liquids
SITA clean line CI – Inline cleanliness inspection of surfaces
SITA clean line BC – Inline monitoring of bath contamination
- 2012
Further development of the SITA DynoTester to the SITA DynoTester+ for simple and quick control of surfactant concentration in cleaning, rinsing, and electroplating baths.
- 2009
Market launch of the fluorescence measuring device SITA ConSpector for monitoring bath contamination in cleaning baths.
- 2007
Market launch of the fluorescence measuring device SITA CleanoSpector for detecting residual contamination on parts for cleanliness control.
- 2006
Market launch of the compact all-round tensiometer SITA pro line t15 for various measurement tasks such as analysing wetting behaviour and controlling the concentration of surfactants and solvents.
- 2005
Upgrade of process measurement technology SITA clean line ST for automatic detergent dosing.
- 2004
Extension of the tensiometer product line with the hand-held tensiometer SITA DynoTester for easy measurement of surface tension and surfactant concentration for use in the manufacturing process.
- 2002
Development of the process measurement technology SITA clean line ST as a plant component for monitoring the surface tension of cleaning baths to ensure the process-oriented use of wetting agents.
Consequently, SITA opened a new process market in industrial parts cleaning with innovative measurement technology for monitoring surfactant concentration in cleaning baths of the metalworking industry and for controlling cleanliness on part surfaces.
- 2000
Market launch of the world's first automatic foam testing device, the SITA foam tester R-2000, for testing the foam kinetics of surfactant-containing liquids such as personal care products or cleaning solutions. This positioned SITA as the leading measurement technology partner for laboratories in the chemical industry for the control and optimisation of surfactant-containing liquids in research and product development.
- 1999
Market launch of the world's first mobile bubble pressure tensiometer SITA pro line f10 and the easy-to-use laboratory measuring device SITA science line t60. The basis for this was the product idea for new bubble pressure tensiometers using the differential pressure method with just one capillary, designed as a versatile hand-held device.
SITA thus opened up new markets worldwide under the motto “From laboratory to process with the physical parameter surface tension”.
The new tensiometers were beneficially used in the development and production of paints, coatings, inks, detergents and cleaning agents, as well as other surfactant applications in materials and processes, for measuring surfactant concentration and controlling the wetting behaviour of surfactant-containing liquids.
- 1996
Founding of the company SITA – named after the symbols for surface tension and temperature, SIgma and TheTA – by Prof. Dr. Lothar Schulze.
Starting point was the know-how developed at the Institute for Precision Engineering of the Technical University of Dresden for automatic consumption-orientated detergent dosing based on surface tension measurement.
