Industrial Foam Testing: From Complex Foam Behavior to Reproducible and Application-Relevant Results

This contribution discusses the specific requirements of foam testing in industrial practice, where reproducibility, comparability, efficiency, and application relevance are essential for both R&D and quality assurance. Because foam behaviour is highly dynamic and influenced by many factors, standardised and automated testing methods are crucial.
Using the SITA FoamTester as an example, the presentation demonstrates how automated test procedures can generate characteristic foam parameters and translate complex foam behaviour into reliable, comparable, and application-relevant results.
