Quality assurance of surfactant containing liquids – Tensiometer and foam tester
The high-performance laboratory Tensiometer SITA science line t100 measures the dynamic surface tension with the bubble pressure method. The device is distinguished by high precision and intuitive operation. Its advantage resides in the measuring method. In contrast to the static measurement, the SITA science line t100 measures the time behaviour of Surfactants. The analysis also detects temperature dependencies and thus, the surfactant can be determined optimally for a specific application.
The new generation SITA FoamTester uses innovative optical measuring methods to determine foam characteristics such as Foam volume, stability and Drainage as well as Foam structure. It analyses the characteristics of surfactant-containing liquids easy, fast and precise with automated, variable measuring sequences. The corresponding software SITA-FoamLab offers comfortable definition and control of user-defined measuring sequences, easy and clear operating and report functions as well as the integration of different laboratory devices for dosing and sample conditioning.

Visit the presentation ofSITA specialist Dr. Martin Hoffmann for a detailed insight view into the applications of foam testing „Advanced Foam Structure Analysis - A Road to Efficent Foam Testing“. It shows the possibility of generating new foam parameters by evaluating height and time dependent structural characteristics using the examples of various shampoos. This will allow an efficient comparison of different samples and their dependency on different boundary conditions.
