SITA at the 27th Industrial Parts Cleaning Conference

Main focus: Wetting control using Contact angle measurement

The 27th Technical Conference on Industrial Component Cleaning focused entirely on systematic and quality-oriented process design in component cleaning. In practice-oriented technical lectures, experts and users of cleaning technology presented the fundamentals, innovative solutions, and case studies.
At the accompanying trade exhibition, attendees could engage directly with responsible staff members about products and experiences, and make new contacts.

SITA Messtechnik GmbH highlighted the importance of wetting control for quality monitoring in component cleaning at the conference. As a leading manufacturer of process measurement technology in industrial parts cleaning, SITA offers bubble pressure tensiometers and Fluorescence measurement technology, which are characterized by intuitive operation, practical application, and easily interpretable results.

In response to repeated inquiries about surface wetting control, we have now developed a measuring device that allows simple, quick, and mobile monitoring of the wetting of metal or plastic surfaces by measuring the contact angle, e.g., after pre-treatment or before coating.

In his lecture "Control of Surface Wetting by Measuring the Contact Angle" application engineer Tilo Zachmann discussed the advantages of contact angle measurement over test inks and presented the benefits, features, and characteristics of the SITA wetting control measuring device.

Key features include:

  • Fast quality control
  • Automatic measurement
  • Handy sensor head
  • Intuitive touchscreen operation
  • Mobile usability
  • Reliable threshold monitoring
  • Water as the test liquid

At the trade exhibition, customers and interested parties could test the prototype SITA Wetting Control and have comprehensive discussions with Mr. Zachmann to learn about and be convinced of its numerous advantages.
